Push button swings and sways

Layman’s hands untrained betray

Their word was hope

Their deed foul sin

A dominion stride

Regaled revoked

Interesting times

Precede the church bells chime

From the field of want

Lay the working man slain

And as she knelt there weeping

Their only child pressed to bosom

Even her they slay

And the babies they stole

All because they could

The lesson of age

Silent sons

Silent names

Silent but not forgotten

That which cannot die

Eternal the flame
