The Musical Life of Teira Naahi

In 1986 a few months prior to my 17th birthday i joined a training assistance programme for the vocation of music and performance. This programme produced a band called 'The Tip Tap Nice Scheme'. We recorded an album which was followed by an Ep with regular touring to Auckland and around the East Coast. We also won the 1997 East Coast Battle of The Bands and performed on a televised telethon.

By the end of the programme i had begun a recording project with fellow student Paul Carlyle which was called 'The Intelligent Foolz'. By late 1987 i had put together a three piece band taking the 'Intelligent Foolz' name and for the next 14 years life was all about the band.

In 2001 things changed with the death of I.F founding bassist Marj Allen. In 2005 i returned back home and pursued a solo music career as 'Nelson Unclaimed'. In 2009 i meet a bass player called BIA and from that meeting came the '4Zhore' project. As of 2015 i continue producing work with 4Zhore and as Nelson Unclaimed.
